Obituary of Theresa Bebamikawe

On a calm moonlit night, with family and friends close to her, Theresa completed her journey that started July 28, 1943 and peacefully settled into the arms of her Creator on October 20, 2024. She was greeted by her mother Agnes, dad Ben, younger sister Becky and older brother Gus. Theresa is survived by her siblings Marlene, Lorraine, Clifford and their families. Her legacy of love for her children Darla-Jean, Carey, Boyce, Andre, James, Arlene, her grandchildren Richard, Nicholas, Misty, Ash, Jaime and great grandchild Eve, survives in them all.

Theresa’s beauty, grace, and loving energy will be deeply missed by all who she has touched in her life. Her strength, compassion and empathy that she vibrantly emitted will continue as a powerful radiant impetus bestowed onto us.  Let it guide you in sadness knowing that the best of her is here within us, and around us. Cherish her memory and feel the joy that she is, as we together mourn her loss. 

At Theresa’s request, cremation has taken place, and a Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. Memorial donations to Pheonix Rising or the Indigenous Friendship Centre – Senior Program would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd, 705-945-7758).
