Obituary of Daniel Nogalo

NOGALO, Daniel Peter - Peacefully, at the Sault Area Hospital, on Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at the age of 78. Loved husband and best friend of Joyce, his wife of 49 years. Loving father of Mark (Cristina), George, Steve (Larissa), Peter and Michelle. Cherished grandfather of Daniel, Matthew, Nicolas, Luke, Alex, Sophia, Quinton and Malcolm. Predeceased by his parents Jure and Marija Nogalo. Dear brother of Rose Nogalo, late Florence Dunlop (late Keith), Anne Bratina (Dan), late Mike Nogalo, late Nick Nogalo (Eveline) and his twin brother John Nogalo (Airi). Much loved brother-in-law of Patricia Quinn, Jim Quinn (Theresa), Jack Quinn (Beverly), Sonny Quinn (Fern), late Dennis Quinn and Cathy Sloan (Ken). Special Uncle Dan to his many nieces and nephews. In his heart, Dan was first and foremost a devoted family man who supported his children in all their endeavours. He loved to laugh and tease his entire life with his special sense of humour. He shared many wonderful memories with family and friends at Havilland Bay where he spent his summers. He served as a Sault Ste. Marie firefighter for 35 years. In his retirement, he discovered a love of Croatian music by learning to play the brach with the St. Mary's Tamburitzans. Friends may call at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation & Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road 705-945-7758) on Sunday evening from 6 to 9 p.m. Funeral mass to be celebrated at Holy Family Parish (on the corner of Second Line and Prentice Ave) Monday, August 13, 2012 at 10 a.m. with Father Boguslaw Jaroszek officiating.
