Obituary of Mary MacLean

(born in Neilston, Scotland) It is with our deepest sadness and regret that we announce the passing of Mary on Thursday December 20th, 2012. Beloved wife of Garry for 43 years. Cherished mother of Leslie Williamson (Bill) and Sheilah Edgar (Lou Derrer) and much loved grandmother of Hannah and Graham Derrer. Predeceased by parents William and Christina Easdon (Scotland), brother Bill Easdon (Scotland) and sister Christina Shand. Survived also by 'brother' John Ryder (Mary)(Vancouver), step sons Fred and Mike MacLean (Vancouver), nieces Avril McEwan (Scotland) and Donna Shand (Arizona). She will be remembered fondly by family and friends for her strength and sense of humour. Mary had a gift of developing strong lasting friendships wherever she lived or travelled. She will be truly missed. Forever in our hearts. "If there is another world, she lives in bliss. If there is none, she made the best of this." Robert Burns. At the request of Mary, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Memorial donations to the charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
