Passed away peacefully and lovingly surrounded by her family at Sault Area Hospital on Saturday, January 18, 2014 at the age of 90. Beloved wife of the late Louie Carricato. Dear mother of Ella Naccarato (Ralph), Louise Provenzano (Tullio), Robert (Donna), Patrick (Terry Beale) of Sault Ste. Marie and Anita Caputo (Kevin) of Kanata, Ontario. Cherished Grandmother to twelve "Belle Nannas": Pat Naccarato (Linda), Mary-Lynn Moore (Marty), Lori Naccarato-Sarlo (Derek Croissant), Lisa Naccarato (Scott Howitt), Sandy Provenzano (Gail), Anna-Lisa Walker (David), Andrew (Rosemary Gallo), Anthony, Adam and Alyssa Carricato, Jennifer and Michelle Caputo. Precious Great-Grandmother to twelve great "Belle Nannas": Elise, Alex, Martina, Marcus, Nicklas, Daniel, Brett (in heaven), Marnie, Michaela, Emma, Rachel and Karina. Predeceased by her parents Giuseppe and Luisa Sicoli and her sister Linda Spina (Gene) and brother Orlando Sicoly (Angela). Sister-in-law of Mary Guzzo (late Joe). Predeceased by brothers and sisters-in-law Christina Pagliaro (Louie), Peter Carricato, Assunta (John), Jim Carricato (Rose), and Rose Trepasso (Domenic). Much loved aunt to many nieces and nephews. We are very blessed and grateful for all the happy memories we shared with her. She will forever be remembered for her devotion to her family and her faith. Friends may call at the Northwood Funeral Home (942 Great Northern Road 945-7758) on Monday, January 20, 2014 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral Mass at St. Gregory's Church on Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Alex Saurianthadathil officiating. Entombment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to St. Gregory's Church would be appreciated. If someone would like to donate to a charity of choice, the family suggests other charities that have served Emma and her family: Canadian Cancer Society, Canadian Diabetes Association, Light the Cross, Rotary Club of Sault Ste. Marie, Canadian Red Cross, March of Dimes or Humane Society. Special thank you to the personal care workers at Red Cross, March of Dimes, and to the ICU staff and doctors at Sault Area Hospital.
