Obituary of Manfred Storch

It is with deep sorrow and a heavy heart that we announce the unexpected passing of Manfred Hubert "Mani" Storch, in his 67th year on Monday, March 17, 2014. He is survived by his son Matthew (Gillian) and brother Hank (Johanna). Son of the late Kurt and Irmengard Storch and brother of the late Wolfgang "Will". He will be sadly missed by his niece, Nancy Skerlan (Gilbert) and his nephew, Robert Storch (Cristy) as well as nieces and nephews in British Columbia and Texas. Mani's life work was with the Cadet Services of Canada to which he dedicated 40 years. Major Storch was awarded the CD with clasp for his service. His love was the 155 Borden Gray GC, Air Cadet Squadron. He served as Commanding Officer of the Squadron as well as the 2310 Army Cadets. He later became the Regional Cadet Advisor for Northern Ontario serving in that capacity for three years. He was a member of Branch 25 Royal Canadian Legion. Friends may call at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road 705-945-7758) on Monday March 24, 2014 from 5 to 8 p.m. Funeral service in the Chapel on Tuesday March 25, 2014 at 11 a.m. Memorial donations to 155 Borden Gray GC, Air Cadet Squadron would be appreciated by the family.
