Passed away at the Sault Area Hospital on Tuesday, July 8, 2014 the day after his 95th birthday. Beloved husband of the late Stella. Dear father of Susan Montgomery (Rod) and Brian McGrath (Kathy). Cherished grandfather of Kevin Hicks (Marisa). Very proud great grandfather of Kayla and Tianna Hicks. Brother of the late Thelma Wilson (late Lester), late Lloyd McGrath (late Mary), late Glen McGrath (Ellen), Dorothy Ansley (late Lyle) and Eva Bird (Ken). Brother-in-law of the late Max McDermid (late Mina) and Bruce McDermid (Lily). Fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Gordon proudly served in WWII. Friends may call at the Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road 945-7758) on Saturday, July 12, 2014 from 11:00 am until time of funeral service in the Chapel at 1:00 pm with Mr. Jim Moffatt officiating. Interment at Pine Grove Cemetery,Thessalon. Memorial donations made to the Children's Wish Foundation or Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
