Unbelievable words so difficult to bare , ring in our minds over and over again . News of Dear Sonja's sudden passing has hit us like a sword pushed deep into our flesh. We hurt for the loss of this life so valuable , so vitally important to so many including our little family of four . A friend and Sister to myself and Gino , ( they labelled each other the outlaws ) . Our long phone chats and impromptu stop overs to each other's homes (while traveling back and forth from the Soo to Toronto ) year after year were always a welcomed source of laughter ( and pickled beans) . A beautiful aunt to our son and daughter , her displays of kindness , love and pride in their little accomplishments will forever be treasured . We stood in each other's weddings and shared in each other's happiest of days . More recently we shared in celebration of hers and Fred's proudest days as Lucas and Megan were wed. There was no mother prouder of her Son and new Daughter. My last best memory with Sonja was Christmas season a year and a half ago when she stayed over to our place and she and I spent the nite drinking wine , laughing , being silly and wrapping gifts in the most horrible fashion . I showed her off to my friends , I was so proud to call her my sister. Sonja's smile and quick wit will forever replay in our minds and be carried in our hearts forever and ever. Our hearts are breaking for her love of her life, Fred , and her children Lucas and Megan . I will forever miss the beauty that was " LaSonja " and will feel the pain of what I hoped to have seen and all that will be missed as we carry on without her in our family.
