Maria Gulli made a donation to DYING WITH DIGNITY CANADA
Mir, this past week I was blessed with the opportunity to spend time with you, your family and your parents. I know this is a time of loss but it is also a time of celebration of love. This past week I got to witness the love between your parents that a 58 year marriage cultivated. I got to witness the love between your children and their grandmother. The way your children interacted with and cared for her tells me everything she did with them was special and made out of love. I feel this strongly because I witness the same between my mum and her grandchild. I also witnessed the support, love and understanding of a spouse as he watched you confront the last difficult days of your mum's life. I also saw the love you have for your mother. You confronted the difficult and challenging time with the grace of a women not the grief of a child. You never turned your face away. You always looked on with love, tenderness and compassion. Your strength has served you well but the days before you is time for grief. I hope you take time to grieve. I got to tell you what your mum meant to me. In my eyes she was always a strong woman. For the past few years every time I say her the first comment to me was "you got fat". Her second comment was "how are you". I will miss her because you always want someone in your corner who can say both things and know they come from a place of love and concern.
