COLIZZA, Sam - "It's only for a short while." With heavy hearts we announce the sudden but peaceful passing of Sam Colizza on Thursday, January 21, 2010 at the age of 83 years. Married to Jennie, the love of his live for 62 years. Son of the late Giacomo and Concetta Colizza. Son-in-law of the late Alfonso and Concetta Petrocco. Adored father of Jim (late Claudia), Vickie Pavoni (John), Tony (Sue), Connie Uren (Eric), Sam Jr. (Denise), Gloria Denneny (Bill), Linda Thorburn (Mark), Vincent (Tina), Maria Rocca (Emilio), Theresa Carriere (Bill), Joe (Silvana), Nancy Iacoe (Sergio) and Terry. Greatest Nono of 42 grandchildren and Biznono of 5. Brother of Vince (Velma), Mario (Mary), Linda Cino (Carmen), Gloria Colizza and the late Vicki Italiano (late Phillip). Brother-in-law of Nancy and Joe Chiverelli, Lil Petrocco (late Gino) and Gayle Petrocco (late Tony). Special Compare to the late Joe and Rita Celetti and their families. Sam will be missed by his many nieces, nephews, friends especially Compare John Arcangeletti. Friends may call at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road 945-7758) on Sunday evening from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral mass will be held at Precious Blood Cathedral on Monday, January 25, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Hamish Currie officiating.
