Dear Uncle Norman, I loved my growing up years knowing you and Granddad. So many things you taught me about nature, animals and birds; instilling in me a love of fauna and flora that remains with me to this day. You have always, and remain, a big part of my memories, a part of who I am, and a part of my son as I passed on your teachings to me, to him. What a wonderful legacy to leave, I am so fortunate to have had you in my life. Thank you. With love, Judy

Our Heartfelt sympathy to all the Richards family. Uncle Norman was special indeed. During my childhood years, I fondly remember visiting Uncle Norman and Grandad at the family homestead and we always had great fun and always learned something. Uncle Norman had a great sense of humour and could always make us laugh. Some special childhood memories include playing hide'n go seek with my sisters in the large ferns, outdoor adventures exploring the creek on the property, the garden was neatly in row upon row and not a weed in sight, with a narrow path between each row. We would get so excited when he would let us go in the garden and pick something to eat; and I thought this was just how all gardens looked, never realizing how much work it really was, he just made it look perfect. The homestead was filled with books, I loved looking through the national geographic magazines and all the beautiful glossy pictures about nature are still in my mind's eye and of course cameras and pictures were always a special part of family life. Thank you Uncle Norman for all the memories, they will always be cherished and live on through our lives. With our deepest sympathy Debbie (nee Richards) and Andy Markevich and family

I wii think of you often Uncle Norman...especially when I see a Monarch Butterfly. You were the "fun" Uncle many years ago when we were children. Who else has an Uncle that made stilts for us to walk around on? Rest in peace now that you are united in spirit and love with your soulmate Dorothy and the rest of the family.
