Jim crossed my mind all the time. He was my best instructor I have ever had. When I was in law and security at sault college. even after I was hired as a police officer I would visit him at the college everytime I came home to visit. But as life is, time goes by, visits stop and we just lost touch. I remember the last time we saw each other. We went out for lunch to North 82, when I was home for a visit. Man, he really was the best human I have ever come across. I’m so sad and sorry to see this .... almost a year too late.
To his family, the loss you experienced I have felt. As Jim was like a father figure when I was in school (as I lost my dad just before college). I’m so so sorry for this loss. What an amazing man he was and what a blessing it was to know him!

Looking back on 30 years of policing with the Hamilton Police Service, one of my very best memories was working with the Joint Forces Unit and having the absolute pleasure of meeting, getting to know and enjoy the amazing great times with Jim Euale. He was a "force to be reckoned with" and one of the finest police officers I have ever had the pleasure to serve with. Rest in peace, Jimmy...and my condolences to Linda...he was just a great guy to know.... Wayne Moore

I had the pleasure of working with Jim at Hamilton Joint Forces
For 5 years. The work and the fun will remain. His energy, skill with
tools and crossword skills were impressive. For a while he ran a
mini stock exchange at the office. A good friend.

And so the great Euale is gone. He was a handful that’s for sure. I used to work with him, as a Crown Attorney, on a Joint Forces case in Hamilton in 1978-1980. He was brilliant in his work. He was fun. He was crazy fun. Over the years more than once I tried to find him, but could never get a phone number. He loved a penny stock called “Cultus Pacific” which he used to lord over us every morning boasting when it soared to the heavens. Not sure how it ended for Jim. I still miss him, and it’s been 35 years since the last time I saw him. All the best to Linda. Life for her with Jim surely must have been interesting.

Our deepest condolences to the family. I knew Jim from Toronto, and then Hamilton. I remember him for many things, his hard work, his humour, but most of all, his calling things as he saw them. He was well known in the police community, and well respected. May you take comfort in the many fond memories.

Linda, Judy and I are shocked by this sad news about Jim passing at such a young age. He deserved all the accolades he received, particularly with spearheading the hiring of the visually challenged. We know you're a strong person yourself for having been married for so long to a unique character, such as Jim was. We wish you continued peace and union with your close family and friends. Irene and I were extremely saddened to hear of Jim's passing, it brought back fond memories of our years in Owen Sound. We were transferred in from Ottawa, and Jim and Linda welcomed us into the RCMP family that was such a vital part of the community, thanks to Jim's leadership and presence. We will carry many happy memories of our time with Jim, both professionally and personally, as we were afforded a true RCMP detachment experience thanks to him. We send our love and support to Jim's loving wife Linda, sons Chris and David, and their families.
