Obituary of John Robert Myles

With great sorrow, we announce the passing of John Robert Myles on August 1st, 2018 at 58 years of age. Loving husband of Krista Lee Ryall. Beloved brother to Lynda Myles and Kathy Marshall (David). Loved uncle of Alison (Carl) and Andrew. Loved by his aunt, Ann Fleming. John was stoic but heart-broken over the recent passing of both of his parents, Art and Leila (Lee) Myles, in December 2017. From his father, he inherited his sense of adventure and keen intelligence. From his mother, he inherited a deep sense of loyalty and devotion, especially when it came to rescuing animals in need. He loved family adventures, including cruising on his father's boat, the Quastar. John bought his father's business, General Insurance, shortly after completing university and worked extremely hard to successfully carry on the family legacy. Having retired a few years ago, John was enjoying retirement at his newly-built dream home nestled in the woods. From biking, hiking, climbing, kayaking, skiing, snowshoeing and beyond, John loved exploring all this world has to offer with his extensive group of friends. John was a devoted volunteer on the boards of both the Sault Ste. Marie Humane Society and the Kinsmen Club. Whether family, friends, or complete strangers, John was always willing to lend a hand to help anyone in need. John had a sense of humour that simply defies description; he will forever be loved and missed. Cremation has taken place. Respecting John's wishes, there will be no funeral. A celebration of life will be held at a future date. Donations in his memory can be made to the Sault Ste.
