Karen, Steve, Wayne & families, Jeff & I both extend our sincere sympathy on the loss of your dear Mom, Nana and friend to many. Ivy and Harry were our wonderful neighbours when we moved to Sault Ste Marie. They certainly made us feel welcome to our new city, introducing us to all of you, telling us the best places to shop, which beach to take our kids swimming and many other helpful and appreciated advice. They always laughed when they told us they would turn us into country bumpkins since we left our big city life behind. I would up the ante by telling them I felt as if I was living the Green Acres life (1960's sitcom) and sing "Waterloo is where I'd rather be, I get allergic smelling hay, I just adore a big city view.....". As much as we didn't want Ivy to sell her home after Harry passed on we were happy knowing she was moving into your home where I know she spent many happy years. When our loved one enters a nursing home it can be a heart wrenching time. We take much comfort that Ivy was well cared for and had some very special caregivers in the home. How sorry we are that our good intentions to visit Ivy never came to fruition. Ivy was a diamond among gems and will be sorely missed. Jeff & Christine Sangster & Family
