I remember Mr MacNamara from Lakeway in the mid 70's. Carried a green plastic bat to keep kids from going into their lockers between classes. A big man with a big heart. RIP.

Sending my condolences to the whole family. Sean was a good friend of my late father’s, and a great teacher. I had him for gr 9 and 10 English at the Dunn. He was with 49th Field when I joined the CAF and he gave me one piece of advice: “listen to what they say, not how they’re saying it.” As a high school student I loved listening to his stories and his no-nonsense approach. I’ll always have very fond memories.

RIP former fellow teacher and fellow 49th Field Regt(RCA) officer. Sean and I taught at Lakeway during my 6 year beginning, and we trained and traveled together in the Military Reserves. My condolences to family and friends. I'm sure that Sean will be missed. His students loved him because he cared about them ...a true educator! Sean MacNamara, you are one of a kind . I still tell some of the intriguing events of my short time interacting with you, Sean... All as unique and special as the person that Sean MacNamara is remembered to be . I will be at the recognition ceremonies in spirit only ( now residing in Guelph). Sean MacNamara,you have left many good deeds and so many good memories .Jobs well done .Rest in eternal peace.
