Robin was a skilled anesthetist, and his absence has been felt greatly by the operating room staff. I know he lived life well in the time that he had, and he made excellent use of his health while it remained, making lifelong memories for him and Allison both. So sad to see a colleague taken too early; it is testimony to the limitations of modern medicine. I feel honored to have known him and worked with him. Despite the loss we all feel, I am happy that he is no longer suffering. Seeing how he squeezed every ounce of life in his remaining days by doing what he loves is inspiring. So sorry Allison, we aren't far away when you need a shoulder.
