Obituary of Manfred Beinicke

With great sadness, we announce the loss of our beloved father, Manfred, of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario at the age of 89.95 (two weeks prior to his 90th birthday). He passed away at the Sault Area Hospital on Saturday, April 13, 2024. Devoted husband of Ruth, (née Pfullendorfer), married for 70 years, together for 75 years. Father of Steven (Liza) and Susan (Michael), grandfather of Ian and David (Adrianna).

Born in Gunstedt, Germany on April 25, 1934. Son of the late Fritz Beinicke and the late Maria (née Lilie). The second of six children: Siegfried, Gerhard, Margherita, Monika and Marie Louise.

Fred was an extraordinarily creative man. He apprenticed as a baker in Germany. He immigrated to Canada with his bride Ruth in 1954, worked as an auto mechanic, school bus driver, jeweler and finally woodworker.

Fred was a wonderful father and husband. His family meant everything to him. He loved children, nature, animals and music. He made friends easily and will be missed by many.

We would like to thank everyone who touched Fred’s life, especially the staff who cared for him at the Sault Area Hospital.
